Judges announced for London

The three man team who will decide who will become the 2008 National Champions of Great Britain has been announced by the organisers.

RAH

The three men charged with the job this year at the Royal Albert Hall are David Read, David King and James Gourlay, although at present Kapitol Promotions have not released the name of the work they will be asked to judge upon – just yet!

Return

David Read has been a familiar face in the box in Kensington now for close on two decades – this will be his 19th appearance, whilst after his well received debut last year, Professor David King returns once again.

New face

The new face this year will be James Gourlay, who until recently was assistant principal at the Royal Scottish School of Music and Drama.

Test piece

No news though about the test piece – although the Kenneth Downie ‘Concerto for Band’ remains the favourite with the bookies.
