The City of Bristol Brass Band has announced that Ian Holmes has returned to the post of Musical Director.

Resident

The band have also appointed Steve Ellis as Resident Conductor and they will be sharing conducting and engagement duties for the foreseeable future.

Following a period of re-building, the band competed at the Areas for the first time in three years under Ian's baton.

Steve's work with the COBBB Training Band has also seen the promotion of Zach Kohler, Michael Rice and James Shearman to the senior bandPter Boyles, Chairman

Gaining strength

Acting Chairman, Peter Boyles told 4BR: "Steve's work with the COBBB Training Band has also seen the promotion of Zach Kohler, Michael Rice and James Shearman to the senior band. The band is not quite back to full strength so any capable lower brass players would be very welcome to get in touch via the band's website."
