This Saturday June 14th, the Dutch Lawei Concert Hall in Drachten will host the 7th International Euro Brass Contest.
21 top bands from the Netherlands and Belgium will compete in this year's festival with, according to the organisers, the winners gaining an invition to perform Brass in Concert in 2009.

The Euro Brass contest sees the competing bands divided into three sections to provide their concert programmes for the judges, which this year includes Professor David King.
The bands programmes include an own choice test piece, a solo and entertainment elements and in each section this year there is an extra prize for the best soprano cornet.
In each of the sections 2007 Euro Brass Champions will defend their titles, whilst many former champions and recent national champions will compete in the contest tooOrganisers

In each of the sections 2007 Euro Brass Champions will defend their titles, whilst many former champions and recent national champions will compete in the contest too. The Contest commences at 9.00am and concludes with a prize ceremony around 23.30pm!
The main side event of the contest is the large annual Euro Brass Trade Show with stand presentations from all over Europe.
