Position: “Inbound” Sales Team Manager / Senior Administrator.
The Role:
A position for a senior sales administrator, based at our offices in Burton upon Trent, to co-ordinate and manage our office based sales team, dealing with inbound enquiries by telephone, fax/letter/e-mail, a low level of “walk-in” retail customers and the efficient processing of sales orders.
The company:
Normans are a specialist company supplying a wide range of Musical Instruments to schools, bands, professional musicians, individual players and students across the country and overseas.
We have a number of large contracts with Local Authorities, The Ministry of Defence and overseas military and education customers. Inbound enquiries/orders can range from 25p to £250K!
We ship around 80,000 products per year to customers.
Specific Role:
· Ensure all enquiries are being dealt with correctly and by the appropriate team member.
· Make sure all internal procedures are being carried out, and help develop further procedures to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the team.
· Report regularly to the Head of Sales with situation updates.
· Monitor and manage all order processing to make sure all orders have been efficiently and accurately processed.
· Review all orders and enquiries to ensure account managers are aware of sales volumes and activities on particularly important accounts or products.
· Personally manage in-bound calls for a selection of high-priority large accounts.
· Report and liaise with the warehouse/accounts/support departments and operations manager– to ensure optimum communications between departments.
· Work with the Managing Director and sales and operations managers to develop our operations further as we continue to increase sales and require more staff, automation and organisation.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate would:
· Be a very organised and motivated individual with strong communications skills
· Have good computer skills — as almost everything we do is computer based – either our accounts/stock programme (Opera) or word/excel and e-mail /web.
· Be a very good telephone communicator for dealing with customers.
· Be confident in organising and motivating a small team.
· Have a keen interest, history or involvement in participating in music making.
