1st International Belgian Brass Academy

The 1st International Belgian Brass Academy is set to take place in June, featuring Roger Webster and a host of Europes top brass performers.

From July 6th – 12th, Belgian Brass and Basilica Festival of Flanders are presenting the First International Belgian Brass Academy in Tongeren, Belgium.

Intensive Summer Course

First-class teachers will share their time and knowledge with motivated young brass players in an intensive summer course. The organisation of IBBA is mainly focussing on advanced brass students and students at conservatories from all over the world.

Next to the individual lessons given by the members of Belgian Brass, there will be master classes and workshops given by international renowned musicians and pedagogues4BR

Masterclasses

Next to the individual lessons given by the members of Belgian Brass, there will be master classes and workshops given by international renowned musicians and pedagogues.

During the Academy there will be chamber music lessons, music psychology and health issues for musicians.

Concerts

Beside the educational part of the Academy, the IBBA will present seven evening concerts at the OLV-basilica with top level brass ensembles and soloists such as Candian Brass, German Brass, Spanish Brass Luur Metalls, Epsilon Brass, Reinhold Friedrich, Michel Becquet, Jeff Nelsen, Roger Webster, Stef Pillaert, Fred Mills and Belgian Brass!

Alder Valley Brass

June 19 • Bb bass player. We are an ambitious, busy and sociable 2nd section band (L&SC, National finalists 2023) with a varied blend of engagements, concerts and contests. We rehearse 8-10pm Mondays and Thursdays in Farnham, Surrey. Other enquiries welcome.


Chinnor Silver

June 17 • Our COMMUNITY BAND meet again on Monday (22nd) and we welcome players of all standards to join us for a relaxed,friendly rehearsal with Tea and cake and it’s all free.. Rehearsals are at 11am in our own bandroom playing with us does not effect your band.

June 16 • Longridge Band invite applications for the positions of Flugel and Eb Bass.. We are a friendly and committed band that enjoys a great balance of concerts and contests throughout the year. A contribution to travel expenses are provided.
