Trombone star to feature as guest artist at prestigious Ottawa Festival.

Trombonist Nick Hudson is to feature as one of the guest soloists at the inaugural Ottawa Brass Festival in Canada.

The prestigious festival is the first of its kind in Ottawa and will also feature Capital Brass Works (members of the brass section of the National Arts Centre Orchestra) Karen Donnelly, Principal Trumpet of the NACO and Nick Atkinson, Tuba with the NACO.

Spread over two concerts, Nick will be featuring music by Jacques Casterede, Nicola Ferro, Gareth Wood and John Kenny4BR

Spread over two concerts, Nick will be featuring music by Jacques Casterede, Nicola Ferro, Gareth Wood and John Kenny.

The festival is the brainchild of Maple Leaf Brass Band Music Director Dave Druce and further details are available on www.ottawabrassfest.ca

Toronto

Following a series of workshops in Ottawa, Nick travels to Toronto to feature works by Steadman Allen and Donald Morrison, alongside others in a concert with the North York Temple Band conducted by Glenn Barlow.

Back home

Upon touchdown back at Heathrow, Nick swiftly makes the long drive up north to Cumbria to conduct a workshop and recital in the Queens Hall, Sedburgh on 8th June.
