Croydon Citadel's young euphonium star Matthew Ingram joins Charley Brighton in his 30th recital at St. Mary's Slough this Saturday.
Premiere
They will premiere a duet by Steven Barton from the USA, 'Twilight Shadows', dedicated to the great Leonard Falcone.
Charley premiered the work in its solo form with piano (Malcolm Stowell) and the winds (BBC Elstree Concert Band) a few years ago, and this adaptation certainly favours 2 euphoniums.
Free
Also on the programme is the bassoon concerto by Danzi and William Rimmer's valse brilliante, Silver Showers. Gershwin's Prelude no.2 will feature the Hawkes 4v Cavalry Tuba in a special arrangement and Malcolm Stowell will be at the organ & piano.
The concert is free and starts at 12 noon.
