Besses o’th’ Barn band has told 4BR that they are looking forward, with relish, to their performance in the Senior Cup this weekend.

The band has had a hard time considering there were discussions as to whether the band should fold at the beginning of the year.

However, with the recruitment of at least twelve players and the appointment of John North as Musical Director the band will take the stage in Blackpool with a full compliment and only two borrowed players.

MD John North commented to 4BR: "Many people have worked extremely hard to get us into this position and the fact that the band is going to the contest at all is worth celebrating – we intend this performance to be an indication of exciting things to come and could well raise a few eyebrows."
