Hectic Fodens put something back

Fodens have been up to their recording necks of it of late, but it hasn't stopped them putting something back in return.

In the hectic weeks leading upto the bands latest CD recording, Fodens Richardson have been putting something back in return.

School appointment

Upon return from the Easter break, Fodens performed alongside the Sandbach School Big Band and Lions Youth band in a concert to celebrate the start of Sandbach Transport Festival. The concert held at Sandbach School was a huge success with over 500 people in attendance.

Meanwhile, last weekend the band recorded a new exciting CD of original compositions conducted by Bram Tovey4BR

Travel

During the same weekend a group of players travelled for a coaching day organised by Oldham Music Services for its brass bands and school ensembles.

The day included a series of master classes, sectional and full rehearsals by Glyn Williams, Helen Fox, Anna Hughes, Toby Hobson, Dave Morton and Gareth Westwood prior to an hour concert where works included 'Shine as the Light' and Music for a Festival'.

New CD

Meanwhile, last weekend the band recorded a new exciting CD of original compositions conducted by Bram Tovey, further details will be released in due course.

Newport Borough Brass Band

March 27 • After a respectable 4th place in the 2nd Section at the Welsh Area Contest, we are looking for FRONT ROW CORNET (position negotiable) 1st BARITONE, 2ND TROMBONE and Bb BASS players to come and join us on our journey under the baton of Martin McHale BEM.
