Bo’ness & Carriden has announced the welcome return of former Principal cornet player, Iain Culross, for their trip to the Senior Cup later this month.
Regular top man Gordon McFarlane found out on the day of the contest last year that he had a clash of dates and was unable to attend the 2008 event.
I am thrilled that Iain has agreed to join the band and I am sure his virtuosity will add a great deal of quality to the band’s performance of Elgar VariationsMD, Mike Marzella
Delighted
However, the band are delighted that they have found a replacement in the form of Iain, the former Principal with Carlton Main and YBS, amongst others, and they believe that his wealth of experience is sure to benefit the band’s push for a place in the Grand Shield.
Band Conductor, Mike Marzella told 4BR: "I am thrilled that Iain has agreed to join the band and I am sure his virtuosity will add a great deal of quality to the band’s performance of Elgar Variations".
