The Kippax Band has announced that they have parted company with Musical Director Russell Gray.

Difficult decision

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "The decision was particularly difficult, as Russell had brought superb musicianship and an excellent track record to the band. However, it was becoming increasingly clear that Russell was not getting the response required from many of the band and that morale was suffering all round."

The committee therefore took the decision to look for a fresh start in the hope of creating some new impetus for the band over the coming monthsKippax Band
