Brass Band Buizingen caused a bit of an upset at the Flemish Open Championships on the weekend when they beat reigning European Champion, Brass Band Willebroek into second place in an exciting event.
The contest took place in the Mechelen City Theatre where the bands had to perform a 25 minute own choice programme that included a major test piece.
The (open) adjudicators were Jan Van der Roost, James Gourlay and Rob Goorhuis.
