127th Hardraw Scar

The famous contest next to the imposing waterfall is due to take place later this year.

2008 is the 127th anniversary of the famous Hardraw Scar Brass Band Contest, and this year's event will take place on Sunday 14th September commencing at 10.00am.

The contest takes place in the Scar leading up to Hardraw Force at the rear of The Green Dragon Inn, Hardraw, near Hawes.

Full compliment

A full complement of 12 bands have entered but any bands who would like to be put on a standby list are invited to contact the YHBBA Secretary, Dennis Hill, 33 Newport Road North Cave, East Yorkshire, HU15 2NU. Telephone: 01430 423451

The adjudicator will be Malcolm Brownbill.
