Mead workshop in May

Steven Mead will be heading to Wessex in May to help a nap hand of bands and deliver a youth workshop.

The Wessex Brass Band Association has announced that Steven Mead is to work with some of its member bands at the end of May.

Rehearsals

Steven, who is supported by Besson, will visit five bands to work with them on their rehearsal night starting with Shrewton Silver on Monday, 26th May, and followd on consecutive nights by Verwood Concert, Downton and Swindon Brass.

On Saturday morning of the 31st, Steven will hold a Workshop at the Godolphin School, Salisbury for players from the Associations’s Youth Bands4BR

On Saturday morning of the 31st, Steven will hold a Workshop at the Godolphin School, Salisbury for players from the Associations’s Youth Bands.

During the morning Steven proposes looking at basic breathing and warm-up exercises; Structuring practice sessions to improve techniques and listening to and playing music.

Concerts

Steven will also appear as guest soloist at two concerts to be given by SWT Woodfalls & the Boscombe Young People’s Band and Shrewton Silver Band.
