Composer Phil Lawrence's work "A Day In The Life Of A Knight" is to be used as the B Grade set work at the forthcoming New South Wales Brass Band Association Contest.
NSW test
Phil told 4BR: "The work chosen for the NSW test was my first for band and lasted 9 minutes when first penned. I wrote it 15 years ago and both the Guildhall and Aveley played it in its original form. I massively revised it 2 years ago and expanded it to over 11 minutes in duration and given it a more film music feel whilst making it more band like in terms of player lines."

Busy
The decision to use the music caps a busy period for the composer, as he told 4BR: "I recently had the orchestral premier of "Deep Space 9" at the Albert Hall, I'm working on a film right now that was shot in a nuclear bunker, and I've been asked to conduct one of my film scores at Cannes during the film festival in May as well as another commission for the Liverpool 08 celebrations."
