Stepping down

Meanwhile, former solo euphonium, Daniel Hunt, has decided to relinquish his position with the band due to his impending move to London, where he has secured a teaching position at St. Joseph’s Catholic College.

A spokesperson for the band told 4BR: "Dan has been an integral part of the team at YBS, playing both solo and second euphonium since joining, and will be sorely missed by his friends at the band. Everyone at YBS wishes him the best of luck for his future career."

Joining

Joining the band on second euphonium is James Emberley, a student at the University of Salford who joins the band from Wire Brass, where he was Principal Euphonium. Everyone at YBS is delighted to welcome James to the band.
