Otterbourne delight

After just two years in the First Section, Otterbourne Brass has reached the National Finals in Harrogate.

Otterbourne

Otterbourne Brass is delighted with its qualification for the national finals in Harrogate in only the second year in the First Section.

Major achievement

The Hampshire band now needs to consolidate its position and fill a couple of empty chairs but having arrived at Torquay needing to be in the first six just to stay up to reach the finals is a major achievement.

The result vindicated the huge amount of work he and the players had put in over the last few weeks Secretary Mike Davis

Fund raising

As with most un-sponsored bands the fund raising for the trip to Harrogate will be uppermost in the minds of the committee now and various projects are already in the planning stage.

Smile on face

Secretary Mike Davis told 4BR: "Musical Director Lt. Col Chris Davis had a smile on his face from the time the band left the stage and was quite obviously delighted with the performance. The result vindicated the huge amount of work he and the players had put in over the last few weeks."
