Brisbane Brass (Greg Aitken), Brisbane Excelsior (Howard Taylor) and South Brisbane Federal (Lyndon Weise) performed their Own Choice Selections, Hymn and Stage March to a near capacity audience in the Brisbane City Temple, Sunday 9 March.
A free public concert, host band, The Brisbane City Temple Salvation Army Band (Stuart Lang) also played a similar segment of pieces.
Compere for the afternoon was Adrian Head.
The competing bands now have less than 10 days to reflect upon their performances prior to the real deal, the Nationals, which for the A Grade brass bands, starts on Saturday 22 March.
This Major Works concert was supported by the Brisbane City Council and Brisbane Metropolitan Bands.
