After fund raising efforts and a generous donation, Besses Boys Band will be aiming to be the best looking band at Blackpool this weekend.
Bequest
After a generous bequest from an old friend and long time supporter, Thomas Carlisle, they have been able to purchase an entire set of uniforms. Gone are the old blue blazers with red tripple B logo to be replaced by a new set of 'on stage' jackets, containing a new logo for the band.
Band Chairman Neil Matthews told 4BR: "We are extremeley grateful to have received this donation from Thomas, and decided it was time to get rid of the dated uniform which we had and bring the band into the 21st Century with a new fresher logo."

Replacements
Furthermore the band are currently in the proces of replacing their entire set of instruments, including a full set of Yamaha Xeno cornets.
Both the new uniforms and instruments will take their first offical outing for the band this weekend at the Regional Competition in Blackpool's Winter Gardens.
New arrivals
Commenting on the new arrivals, Musical Director, James Holt said: "These really are exciting times and the purchase of these new uniforms and instruments will enable us to look much more professional and give us a big boost before the contest this weekend. Being able to buy a whole set of new instruments is fantastic for us, the difference it has made to the band is superb and will only help us in our preperation for sunday and beyond."
