New Championship for NSW

In 2008 the Band Association of New South Wales will be offering State Championship Title events for JAZZ and STAGE BANDS in both Open and Junior divisions.

This initiative follows the very successful Jazz and Stage Band Festival that BANSW held in 2007 and the unanimous support by band delegates at a General Meeting held yesterday, 2 March, to introduce By-laws for State Title competitions in these genres.

The Championship events will be held on Sunday 7th September at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith and were previously shown on BANSW calendar of events as the date of a Jazz and Stage Band Festival.
