Dalewool welcome new Duo

Dalewool Auckland Brass have signed banding duo Sergio Marshall and Lisa Rogers.

Lisa Rogers and Sergio Marshall

It's a new year and a new start for Sergio Marshall and Lisa Rogers. They joined Dalewool Auckland Brass at the beginning of this year to take up the principal horn and flugel horn seats respectively.

Sergio and Lisa have been a solo horn / flugel partnership for over 15 years now. Originating in Hamilton Brass and latterly spending the past 5 years with our friends at Waitakere Brass.

Success

As well as a combined wealth of banding experience, the pair have had much success as soloists and duet partners at both regional and national levels. Lisa is the current Auckland Regional Not Slow Melody Champion and Sergio is the reigning Waikato/Bay of Plenty Not Slow Melody Champion.

Sergio has had the honor of being selected on the last 3 occasions to play for the National Brass Band of New Zealand and was fortunate to be part of the 2005 band that gained a third place at the World Championships in Kerkrade, Netherlands.

Lots of Driving!

Residing in Hamilton, the couple make the regular 240km plus round trip to meet the bands busy rehearsal, contest and concert commitments.

When not banding

When not busy banding, Sergio is employed by The University of Waikato as an Internet Developer and Lisa is a senior financial consultant with the PSIS. When there is spare time the couple enjoy home improvement, movies, a good bottle of wine and relaxing with friends.

Dalewool Auckland Brass would like to warmly welcome Sergio and Lisa to the band.

Be sure to watch out for them featuring at one of the bands concerts in the near future.
