2008 4BR Money List

After their repeat win at Yeovil on the weekend, PolySteel push themselves right up into the top three money winners of the year so far.

Money

For the second year in a row Philip Harper and PolySteel made sure their bank balance didn’t suffer an early season haemorrhaging of funds as they picked up a nice wad of cash at the Yeovil Entertainment contest.

Camborne also enjoyed a good day there too picking up a grand for their efforts, whilst Mount Charles out the disappointment of Butlins behind them to claim a well earned third place and £700.

Preston

Meanwhile in Preston, a number on bands enjoyed good paydays with the winners in each of the four sections picking up a healthy £700 for their efforts. That meant that Pemberton Old, Rainford, Oldham (Lees) and and Farnworth & Walkden went home with a nice cheque to keep their treasurers happy.

The next big money contests will see Norwegian bands compete in Bergen and a strong Welsh contingent battle for honours at Porthcawl. Then it’s the moneyfest of the Regionals!4BR
