Fancy a free pass to the Oz Nats?

Attending the Oz Nationals? Looking for something to do on Easter Monday? Want to help your fellow brass soloists? Have we got a deal for you...

Queensland Band Association

There has been over 400 brass soloist entries received for the Australian Nationals, being held over the Easter Weekend in Brisbane.

Queensland Band Association Registrar, Roger Roache, is co-ordinating the volunteer staff for the Championships and is finding it difficult to fill all the volunteer places for Easter Monday. There will be five venues operating all day in order to run all of the events.

..So far the response for volunteers has been good but we need more — particularly on Easter Monday.Roger Roache, QBA Registrar.

Roger told 4BRDU today: "My job is to make sure the events have enough volunteer support to run smoothly. So far the response has been good but we need more — particularly on Easter Monday. Any time people have to offer would be hugely appreciated."

Roger needs your help, and would love to hear from you.

There are many roles to fill from door keepers, ticket office, back stage runners, scribes, announcers etc.

As a token of appreciation and thanks, the volunteers who work a minimum of eight hours will be given season passes for the duration of the contest, excluding the Gala Concert.

So if you are a Mum, Dad, partner, friend, relative, or bandsperson with a bit of free time and think you can lend a hand, particularly on Easter Monday, contact Roger.

Please send details of names and times available to Roger Roache: rdroache@bigpond.net.au as soon as possible.
