The Number 1 Area of the National Association of Brass Band Conductors (NABBC) will be holding a workshop on Saturday 2nd February to study the 4th, 3rd and 2nd Section regional test pieces.
The event will be held at Dartford Salvation Army Hall, 66 Hythe Street (near High Street), Dartford, Kent DA1 1BE.
East access
Dartford is easily accessible from the M25 and there is car parking nearby. There is also a train service (North Kent Line for South Eastern Trains) to Dartford from Central London (Cannon Street, Charing Cross, London Bridge, Victoria or Waterloo East), the Medway Towns and the Kent coast.
The hall is only a few minutes walk from the station. There is wheelchair access into the hall.
Admission is free to members of the NABBC and to any other conductor who completes a membership application form on the day accompanied by the annual subscription (£30 for Full and Associate Members, £15 for students and senior citizens)organisers

The workshops will be led by Dr Roy Newsome (3rd and 2nd Section) and Walter Ritchie BEM (4th Section) with the KM Medway Band.
Admission is free to members of the NABBC and to any other conductor who completes a membership application form on the day accompanied by the annual subscription (£30 for Full and Associate Members, £15 for students and senior citizens).
Admission for non-members is £5 which includes tea or coffee during the day.

11.15am: 4th Section Test Piece Workshop
12.30pm: Lunch (Food will be available at a small charge)
1.30pm: 3rd Section Test Piece Workshop
2.24pm: 2nd Section Test Piece Workshop

This is an ideal opportunity for both conductors and players to obtain some insight into the construction and subtleties of the pieces. Please bring your own score or band part.
