Rapp star joins YBS

YBS Band welcomes Ben Rapp to its ranks ahead of the Yorkshire Regionals.

YBS Band

YBS Band has announced the signing of the highly experienced Ben Rapp on front row cornet in time for the band's annual concert visit to Scarborough and the Yorkshire Area.

Top level experience

Ben has played at the top level of banding for many years, initially playing on the front row cornet bench for Brighouse and Rastrick upon commencing his studies in Manchester at the Royal Northern College of Music.

He also played with Black Dyke Band for three years on repiano, standing in many times on Principal Cornet for Roger Webster, before taking a year out from playing to travel.

Players of Ben's calibre are few and far between, so everyone at YBS is extremely pleased to have secured another quality, experienced member for the teamMD, Morgan Griffiths

Calibre

Ben's playing career has also seen spells at the Fairey and Timperley bands, and has taken him around the world to many prestigious engagements.

Newly confirmed Musical Director Morgan Griffths was delighted at the signing: "Players of Ben's calibre are few and far between, so everyone at YBS is extremely pleased to have secured another quality, experienced member for the team."
