Clackmannan District Brass under the direction of Paul Kiernan, has announced five new signings for the challenges ahead in 2008, and they say, to build on the fantastic success story of 2007.
Sop star
Tommy Harrower has accepted the invitation to join the ranks and take up the soprano cornet position.
Until recently he held the soprano cornet position at Kingdom Brass where he won numerous individual awards helped them to their excellent victory at Blackpool in the Senior Trophy 2006. Tommy also previously played piccolo trumpet with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble.

Undoubted talent
When asked about joining Clackmannan Tommy commented to 4BR: "I'm looking forward to this new challenge with renewed enthusiasm and hoping to help the band attain its position in the top flight. I must also say it will be a pleasure to work with Paul Kiernan who's undoubted talent has brought a wealth of success to the band throughout 2007."
Double bass
Also joining the band is John Cotton who has signed on flugel horn and his fiancée Susan Narborough, who joins on back row cornet.
Both previously played with Tullis Russell Mills Band, with John winning a number of individual solo awards with them at contests.
Last but not least Tam Graham and Kenny Furmage have both signed on BBb Bass.
