Inverclyde-based Riverside Youth Band recently grasped the opportunity to enjoy some high profile television coverage after being broadcast in performance with well-known singer Cammy Barnes.
The band from Port Glasgow joined forces with the artist who recently announced two dates at the city's Hydro centre, alongside the Young Portonian Theatre Group Choir from Grangemouth, for a new version of his popular track, 'Bonnie's Song', for the STV Children's Appeal.
Around 35 members took part in the live-broadcast performance recorded in Greenock Town Hall under MD Mark Good, 30. A new arrangement was prepared for the occasion by Eoin Tonner.
Interviews
The programme was presented by Lorraine Kelly, with Riverside's Laura Good and Cameron Mitchell joining her on the sofa to chat about the experience.
MD, Mark Good later told 4BR: "For our youngsters to join forces with Cammy Barnes and the Young Portonian Theatre Group Choir was an incredible experience.
We all met at the recording for the first time and it was very special, with the diverse musical styles blending so nicely. Afterwards, the youngsters were able to chat with Cammy and get pictures with him, which was also a great treat."

Proud
Band Chairperson, Duncan Galbraith was especially proud: "Our mantra is 'Opportunity Through Music' and the collaboration with Cammy was a perfect example. The recording experience was completely new to our members, but they fully embraced the opportunity.
Seeing the final broadcast on STV was very special, and the young people were a credit to Inverclyde."
The STV broadcast comes as Riverside prepares for a busy few months ahead, with a concert in Port Glasgow New Parish Church and the Scottish Concert Band Festival later this month before a spate of festive engagements in the build-up to Christmas.
