This cornet or flugel solo by Karl Whelan brings a tender, reflective moment of storytelling to any Christmas concert. Dedicated to the composer's German grandmother (Oma), it gracefully weaves together two quintessential Christmas carols — 'Stille Nacht' (Silent Night) and 'O Tannenbaum' (O Christmas Tree) into a serene Christmas lullaby.
Designed to highlight the lyrical qualities of either the cornet or flugel it offers a rich, atmospheric contrast to traditional festive offerings.
