Yorkshire Imperial has announced the signing of cornet player Laura Murphy.

The player brings 14 years of experience with Emley Band where she enjoyed playing both cornet and flugel.

Laura recently helped the band at the Spring Festival and stated that she was "really excited" to have joined 'Imps' and is looking forward to being part of the team and seeing what challenges will come next.

In return the band stated that they hoped that Laura already felt part of the team. They added: "She always brings a smile to rehearsals, which reflects her enthusiasm and excitement to work with us."
