The adjudication team that will make the decisions at the 49th Brass in Concert Championship has been announced.
The sold-out event takes place at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music on Saturday November 14th featuring 11 outstanding bands who will be evaluated in three different categories to decide the 2026 Champion.
Panel experience
The panel features musical talent from across Europe, spanning conducting, composition and performance. Amendments in the scoring structures this year will see three judges mark on Quality of Performance. This will be in the hands of composer Oliver Waespi, conductor Erik Janssen and trombone soloist, Peter Moore.
Scores for Programme, Performance and Entertainment will be adjudicated by producer and university lecturer in Radio, Podcasting and Audion Production, Al Booth, and conductor and Principal Director of Music (Army) within the Royal Corps of Army Music, Lt Col Lauren Petritz-Watts.
The separate Best Instrumentalist and Sectional Awards will be decided by the renowned Belgian tenor horn soloist, Tim De Maeseneer.
Youth Brass in Concert
The Youth Brass in Concert Championship takes place on Sunday 15th November and will be judged by Erik Janssen and Peter Moore.

They are all experienced, internationally acknowledged leaders in composition, conducting, instrumental performance and entertainment. It is what our competing bands have asked for and that's exactly what we have provided."

Audience vote
It was also confirmed that popular Audience Vote will once again take place, giving those both in the auditorium as well as watching online through the Wobplay.com live broadcast, the opportunity to have their say and vote for the audience's winner.
Audience members will be able to pick up a special card to vote for their favourite band performance. A 15-minute on-line voting window will open following the final band's performance, with the winner announced during the live-broadcast results ceremony.
