A new Robin Hood film returns to cinemas this week. While this interpretation on the story the legendary figure in a darker direction, Michael Kamen's magnificent score for the much more upbeat 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' form the 1990s remains one of its most memorable soundtracks.

Daring adventure

Starring Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman and scene-stealing Alan Rickman, it introduced a new generation to the legendary outlaw aided by Kamen's sweeping main theme that perfectly captured the sense of daring adventure of the script.

Derek Broadbent's exciting arrangement creates its own drama and is suitable for bands from Third Section and up, making it an ideal for film themed concerts and traditional band programmes alike.
