Following the success of its recent Festival of Brass event in Lydney, the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association is looking forward to welcoming bands and supporters to the second Coleford Festival of Brass.
Two stages and nine bands
It takes place on Saturday 13th June in two venues in the pretty Forest of Dean town starting at noon.
The main stage will be situated in the town centre, with the second in the local Baptist Church just 200 meters away.
Nine Forest of Dean bands will perform at each venue, with the day ending with Philip Harper conducting a massed band on the main stage at about 7.30pm.
Free entry
A spokesperson told 4BR: "Following the success of last year's event, we are delighted that the festival is now a collaboration between Coleford Town Council led by Mayor Nick Penny and the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association."
Entry is free of charge at both venues with free parking in the town for the event.
