Free Open Day for next generation of National Youth players

If you are aged 12 to 18 and want to find out more about what being on the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is all about — then get along to their special Open Day this April.

  The Open Day is being held on Friday 10th April

The National Youth Band of Great Britain is holding a special Open Day for players aged 12 to 18.

It will be held on Friday 10th April (9.15am to 5.00pm) at Harrogate Ladies' College, Clarence Drive, Harrogate (HG1 2QG)

Spend the day

It will enable young brass and percussion players aged 12 to 18 to spend a day with the NYBBGB during its Easter residential course.

Work with tutors

A spokesperson told 4BR: "During the day you will get to work with one of our world-class music tutors in sectionals and play alongside the current members of the NYBBGB during rehearsals.

You will also get the opportunity to perform with the band as part of a short concert, under the direction of Professor Nicholas Childs."

This year's tutors include Richard Marshall, Tracey Lloyd, Siobhan Edwards, Paul Kiernan, Mike Cavanagh, Matthew Routley and Sam Milton.
