Yorkshire pride and titles at stake in Huddersfield

There are sure to be some memorable battle for the Yorkshire bragging rights in Huddersfield this weekend.

  Huddersfield Town Hall will host the battles

The 2026 Yorkshire Regional Championships take place this weekend at Huddersfield Town Hall.

54 bands will look to claim the domestic bragging rights in the five sections, with the action kicking off on Saturday (7th March) at 9.00am with the First Section (11 bands), followed by the Third Section (11 bands) around 1.30pm and finally the Fourth Section (10 bands) at around 6.05pm.

Sunday (8th March) will start 9.30am with the first band taking to the stage in the Second Section (10 bands) followed by the Championship Section contest (12 bands) at around 3.00pm.

Qualifiers

The defending top section champion is Black Dyke Band who are pre-qualified for the Royal Albert Hall. They will be joined by two other invited bands. Two bands in each of Sections 1-4 will also qualify for the National Nationals in York.
