Conclusion ahead to Renshaw and Hade Edge link

The musical partnership between Derek Renshaw and Hade Edge Band will come to an amicable end at the Yorkshire Regional Championships.

Renshaw
Derek has enjoyed a great deal of success in Yorkshire over the years

The musical partnership between Hade Edge Band and Derek Renshaw will come to an amicable conclusion following this year's Yorkshire Area Championships in Huddersfield next month.

4BR was informed that Derek will remain in the role until a replacement MD is appointed, but will be happy to continue an association with the band if required.

Enjoyed

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We've very much enjoyed working with Derek over the last year and will be sad to see him go. He has brought a great deal of experience and musical insight, which the band has benefited from enormously.

Derek will always be welcome in the bandroom as a friend, and we're grateful for his offer to stay on as needed after the Areas until a replacement can be found."

Happy

In response, Derek said: "I've really enjoyed my time with Hade Edge and the work we've done together.

The decision to step away is a personal one, but I'm looking forward to working with the band through to the Areas and am happy to stay on to assist the transition to a new MD. I wish the band every success for the future."
