The Royal College of Music in London is to host 'RCM Youth Brass', an exciting course welcoming young brass players to enjoy a weekend of practical workshops and coaching with RCM musicians in April.
It is open to youngsters age 14-18 of Grade 6 standard and above on any brass instrument.
Pay what you can
It will take place on Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th (both 11.00am to 3.00pm), and Monday 20th April (5.00pm to 8.30pm). Those taking part can pay what they are able to afford.
Led by Amos Miller, RCM Head of Brass, participants will take part in workshops exploring special arrangements of repertoire around a theme of 'water and the natural world', culminating in an ensemble performance in the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall.
Supportive
The RCM stated: "This is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable advice about how to prepare for auditions, develop performance skills and receive peer-to-peer support from other young musicians in a supportive and friendly environment."
