Wright & Round: Anno 1920 (Philip Harper)

The fantastic concert opener played by Cory Band is now available for your band to perform.

Wright and Round
Anno 1920 is a sparkling concert opener

Music publishers Wright & Round is one of the oldest and most respected brass band music publishers in the world.

Established in 1875, they have a remarkable catalogue of compositions — from original works by William Rimmer and George Hawkins, to latest releases, as well as the iconic 120 Hymns publications — the 'red hymn books', arranged by Ray Steadman-Allen.

New and established composers

In recent years it has supported new and established compositional talent through its Music Editor Philip Harper, whose own arrangements are sold around the globe, as well as many other well-known composers and arrangers such as Liz Lane, Paul Lovatt-Cooper, Tom Davoren and Ray Farr.

Wright & Round is now delighted to offer direct access to its catalogue through 4Barsrest, with regular updates on new and exciting releases that are just a couple of mouse-clicks away from being purchased and sent directly to your band to perform.

Anno 1920

This sparkling concert opener composed by Philip Harper is currently the opening number in Cory Band concert programmes and was featured by them at the recent RNCM Festival of Brass.

Commissioned by the Swiss Brass Band Feldmusik Knutwil for its Centenary in 2020, it features an uplifting melody which moves around the sections before returning as a triumphant finale.

It is suitable for 2nd Section bands and above and provides the ideal high energy starter to any concert programme.
