Cory has welcomed the latest addition to the ranks

Cory Band has announced the appointment of Will Marston as its new Principal Eb Tuba.

In what the band state will be a signing that, "enhances the strength and depth" of their already experienced section, the player has been a welcome 'dep' with them over the past year.

Experience

A former member of Beaumaris Band and the National Youth Brass Band of Wales, Will studied with Patrick Harild at the Royal Military School of Music, serving for six years with the Band of the Prince of Wales's Division. During this time, he also enjoyed spells with the likes of Parc & Dare, City of Cardiff (Melingriffith), Flowers, and Filton Concert Brass.

Following his Army service he joined Brunel Brass, and subsequently Ebbw Valley Brass, contributing to a highly successful period for them.

Outstanding

In welcoming him to the ranks, Cory MD, Philip Harper said: "Will is no stranger, having played with us at several concerts and at the 2025 European Championships, where he impressed with his performances and his relentlessly positive approach.

His experience, professionalism, and outstanding musicianship make him a perfect fit for the band and a fantastic addition to our already strong tuba team."

Thrilled
