It is not only at the RNCM in Manchester this weekend where people will be able to enjoy world class music making celebrating a hugely respected figure in the global banding movement.
Stephen Cobb 50
On Saturday evening, Regent Hall in London will host a very special 'Stephen Cobb 50' concert, celebrating the remarkable half a century of service, dedication, commitment and leadership of the conductor of The International Staff Band of The Salvation Army.
20 of those years came a player with the band before he was appointed its Bandmaster — the role in which he left an indelible mark with his musicianship.
