Players, conductors and brass band supporters can enjoy a full day of Third and Fourth Section test-piece workshops in Birmingham — with a Thomas Fountain bonus.

RBC
The event will be hosted at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire

The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is to host a special 'Brass Day', with a focus on workshops on the Third and Fourth Section Regional test-pieces, 'Three Haworth Impressions' and 'Indian Summer'.

It will take place at the RBC on Saturday 14th February (9.00am to 6.15pm) in association with Conn Selmer. It will cost £10.00 for adults for the day with under 18s free of charge.

All ages and abilities

Brass and percussion players of all ages and abilities will be able to work on the pieces under the direction of RBC Director of Brass Band Studies, Ian Porthouse, alongside the RBC Brass Band.

The day also feature a special masterclass session with BBC Philharmonic Orchestra trumpet player Thomas Fountain, who will also be the guest soloist with the RBC Brass Band in a concert to round off the day.
