Brass Bands England has launched an updated Code of Fundraising Practice to help bands with their fundraising activities in the UK.
'The New Code of Fundraising Practice — What Brass Bands Need to Know' aims to help bands understand recent changes in the law and how to stay compliant. The code is built on four core principles to ensure that fundraising is legal, open, honest and respectful.
This new, compact version focuses on values-based decision, helping bands to raise funds confidently and responsibly.
Confidence
Speaking about the new code publication, Beth Lambert, BBE's Fundraising Services and Development Manager told 4BR: "These changes are a good thing for bands and make The Code offers a good practical guide to give confidence in your fundraising, rather than another piece of charity red tape.
Getting it right helps build public trust — and ultimately makes your fundraising more effective."
