Hammonds welcome Cox to Pudsey finishing line

The fund-raising radio presenter was welcomed to the 'Pudsey to Pudsey' finishing line by the sound of Hammonds Band.

BBC Radio 2 presenter Sara Cox recently completed her epic 135 mile 'Pudsey to Pudsey' challenge for Children in Need with her final few steps accompanied by the sound of Hammonds Band as she crossed the finish line.

La La Land

The presenter has raised over £9.5m for the BBC supported charity, with an ensemble from the Yorkshire band performing one of her favourite songs 'La La Land' as she completed her emotional journey after days of slogging through rain, hills and exhaustion. The moment was broadcast live on Radio 2 as crowds gathered to cheer her home.

Adding star power to the celebrations, former Spice Girl, Mel C was there to greet Sara as she posed for photos with Pudsey Bear and the band.
