The popular ConsTest championship will return in 2026, with the opening date for entries announced as Wednesday 19th November.
The contest itself takes place at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on Saturday 11th April with 18 spaces to be filled. There is a 3 band limit in each section, so you will need to be quick.
Inclusive
Over the years the event has promoted an inclusive, friendly competitive environment with an ethos to support banding at each of its levels. The event is backed by generous supporters and volunteers with great facilities at the venue to make for a super day.
The judges for the own-choice test-piece event are Paul Holland and Stephanie Binns.
Ideas
Event promoter Mike Foley-Hall is also keen to develop the event further and would welcome suggestions and comments about how to keep the event at the forefront of the banding calendar.
