BrookWright Music: Young Artists Series — Away in a Manger (arr. Kenneth Downie)

Christmas is coming and so is this perfect piece of festive music making for soloists.

BrookWright Manger
The work is perfect for players for the festive season

The Christmas season provides an ideal opportunity for beginner brass students to demonstrate their progress with this setting by Kenneth Downie of the iconic carol.

Scored

Scored for two or more soloists and accompanying ensemble or piano and percussion, the flexible scoring means various combinations of instruments can accompany the soloists. In addition, high quality MP3 brass and orchestral backing tracks are included, along with click tracks for practice purposes.

The general harmonic format of the Young Artists Series is in five parts. However, this piece will work equally well with larger groups, including full brass bands and wind bands.
