Skelmersdale Prize Band has welcomed a number of new signings, including a MD as they look forward to a busy and exciting second half of the contesting year.
Experience
The experienced John Binns take on the conductor role, bringing with him a rich and varied banding heritage with great success both as an MD and trombone player.
A spokesperson for the band said: "We've enjoyed working with John over the summer period, and we are looking forward to our first contest with him at the helm at the Red Admiral Entertainments Contest.
We are also delighted to welcome the excellent signings of Adrian Jarvis on bass trombone, Julie Roberts on front row, and Barbara Grant on BBb bass."
