Youth Brass 2000 spotlight at National Final

The pre-results entertainment at this year's Royal Albert Hall National Final will be provided by Youth Brass 2000 and friends.

Kapitol Promotions has announced that the pre-results entertainment at this year's Royal Albert Hall National Final will be provided by the multi-award winning Youth Brass 2000.

Showcase

The 2025 National Youth Champion will provide a 45-minute showcase under MD, Chris Jeans on Saturday 11th October.

The band will be joined by several former alumni who have gone on to enjoy further accolades on their personal musical journeys.

These include Jordan Ashman (BBC Young Musician of the Year 2022), Siobhan Edwards (Black Dyke Band) and Mathew Gee (Principal Trombone of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), as well as players who currently enjoying playing with many of the UKs elite level bands and who are studying at leading conservatoires.

Celebration

Speaking about the news, Dr. Robert Childs, Artistic Director of Kapitol Promotions commented: "It will be a spectacular celebration of youth at its finest following the 19 performances of Edward Gregson's 'Symphony in two movements' earlier in the day, and before the new National Champion Band of Great Britain is announced".

Speaking about their joy at being asked to perform, Don Collins, Youth Brass 2000 Chairperson added: "Chris Jeans and the players are all absolutely thrilled. It's a tremendous honour to be invited to perform at such an iconic venue as part of this prestigious event.

We're all really looking forward to it, and it's an added bonus to welcome back some of our most esteemed alumni for this special performance."
