Dr Jonathan Corry will link up once again with Brighouse & Rastrick Band

1st Old Boys Band Musical Director, Dr. Jonathan Corry, will head to Yorkshire next month to record a new CD release with Brighouse & Rastrick.

It continues an association that has already seen the partnership work together on two successful recordings and concerts in 2024.

Hymns

The new album features hymn repertoire including works from Norman Bearcroft and Wilfred Heaton to Rebecca Lundberg and Philip Wilby amongst others.

Speaking about the forthcoming project, Brighouse & Rastrick Chairperson Ste Cavanagh said: "We're delighted to be working once again with Jonathan.

He has a deep understanding of hymn tune repertoire, and his Salvation Army experience will bring a thoughtful and authentic perspective to this recording."

Special release

They added: "Following the success of 'Another World' which featured the music of Dorothy Gates, the concert music of 'Evergreen' and his connection to several of our regular concerts, we can't wait to get back in the studio together for what will be a very special release."
