Farren to lead Broxburn & Livingston

Broxburn & Livingston Band has announced the appointment of Caroline Farren as its new Musical Director.

The experienced conductor and educator led Whitburn Youth Band to three consecutive Gold Awards at the Scottish Youth Championships and now directs the West Lothian Schools Band.

The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama graduate plays flugel horn with Whitburn Band and works as an instrumental teacher with West Lothian Council. Caroline is also the Child Protection Officer for the Scottish Brass Band Association.

The band stated that it was, "excited to welcome her into the MD role and can't wait to perform under her baton at the West of Scotland entertainment contest in Troon on 30th August."
