The latest Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com World Rankings see substantial changes throughout following the busy spring contest season.
The main event, of course, was the European Championships in Stavanger, where Eikanger-Bjørsvik's second place was just enough to take the Norwegian band to the top of the Rankings for the first time.
The winner, Brass Band Willebroek from Belgium, which took its fourth European title, moves to its highest place since it last won in 2007, while the previous champion, Brass Band Treize Etoiles, is the third continental band in the top five.
A successful seaside trip to Blackpool sees EverReady shooting up the table to 32, and it will be joined at September's British Open by Amersham, which reaches the top 50 for the first time.
The other contests held since the last update were:
BBNI Spring Festival — won by 1st Old Boys Silver;
Fife Brass Band Festival — won by the cooperation band;
Holme Valley Contest — won by Hepworth;
Buxton Festival of Brass — won by Whitworth Vale and Healey;
French Open Championships — won by Rothwell Temperance;
Senior Cup — won by Pemberton Old Wigan;
Senior Trophy — won by Boarshurst Silver;
Australian Championships — won by Sydney City Brass.
The next update will follow the British Open and Section 1-4 National Finals, so there's plenty to play for throughout the top 200!
