The company makes innovative products to help performers

CalderPips Music, set up in 2020 by professional musicians Beth Calderbank and Jonathan Pippen is making a mark on the brass banding world with its innovative products.

Grip

They have just sold their 3000th 'CalderPips Grip' the inventive accessory that provides essential support for brass players to perform in comfort on their instruments.

Designed to help ergonomically support a player's instrument by distributing weight to large muscles to prevent and reduce aches, pains or straining, the range covers trombone, tuba, euphonium, baritone, tenor horn, flugel horn and cornet — with a French horn grip now in production.

Success

Speaking to 4BR, Jonathan Pippen said: "The success is testament to the need to assist players with high quality products that have been designed for a specific purpose.

The demand is worldwide and we're delighted that we receive regular feedback from customers telling us how much they have helped."

Commendations

He added: "Some of the most telling commendations have come from people who have suffered from arthritis, carpel tunnel syndrome, hypermobility and flexibility as well as those recovering from strokes.

They tell us that they are now able to enjoy their playing in comfort once more."

Fitted and tested

The grips are available in all the colours, and are completely hand made in the UK by Jon and Beth. Every grip is fitted and tested before being sent out accompanied by links to videos to aid with fitting and adjusting.

Jon added: "We charge the same price to everyone, only asking that if they are happy they tell people. It's worked a treat so far, and it feels good to be able to help."

Tone Halo

CalderPips Music also make the 'Tone Halo' which is designed to be attached to the bell throat of a cornet, trumpet, horn or any trombone to help make the sound more focused and darker and give more stability.
